A little about me as a therapist

I’ve been a social worker for the past 10 years working in various settings primarily focusing on mental health, trauma informed care, and recovery. My goal as a therapist has always been to encourage those I work with to begin to learn about themselves in order to let their light shine. I focus on providing a space of curiosity, vulnerability, and empowerment. 

My therapy style

When I am not working

I take a psychodynamic approach in my therapy style. I want my clients to learn where their behaviors stem from and begin to provide healing to the different parts of ourselves that might need extra care. I pull my techniques from internal family systems, polyvagal theory, CBT, and DBT. The heart of my style can often focus on using nature as my co-therapist connecting my clients to nature, ultimately using this resource in their daily lives when they aren’t working directly alongside me. I truly believe the power of change lives inside everyone and I see my job as the person to walk alongside you to help you acknowledge your own light and begin to trust in it. 

Spending time with my family is the most important thing to me when I’m not at work. We love to cook together, work on our garden, or go on hikes. Many nights we can be found dancing in the living room to our family EDM sets.
